Our journey with Word of Life (WOL) has been a long one. Both sides of our families have been impacted by WOL missionaries and their awesome ministry to youth. We were so impacted as teenagers that we decided to attend WOL Bible Seminary in Brazil (where we met). There we learned to love the Word deeper and our call for ministry was confirmed.  

 

We spent a few years as WOL missionaries in Brazil, but after the recession of 2008, we had to return to the US. Our family did not immediately return to full-time ministry and after 3 kids and busy schedules, 9 years have gone by.

 

Now, our heart once again has yearned to be a part of this great ministry before any more time goes by. In the summer of 2019, while visiting the Word of Life family camp, the Lord made it very evident to us that we needed to be serving Him on a full-time basis. This calling that began for both of us as teenagers could no longer be ignored and the excuses were no longer adequate as God convicted our Hearts and placed a burden for the ministry.

 

We decided to respond with faith. Local Church Ministries seemed to be a very good fit for our family where our gifts could be used to their full potential. We were excited about the prospect of being a Ministry Coach assisting youth pastors.

 

The goal is a vibrant youth and children’s ministry where each student is being discipled and reaching their peers. We took the next step of faith. In January of 2020, we went through Word of Life’s Missionary-in-Training program.

Now we are actively serving in the Philadelphia-Baltimore and DC area!
